On The Shore

Out in the distance
Where the seabirds fly free,
where the crashing waves meet the rocks
Where the sand meets the sea.

I see you coming towards me,
As if no time had passed.
I want to pose the question
"Where have you been?" I ask.

"Lightyears away from here," you say,
As you flash that impish grin.
"I had to travel with the tide
To come out strong to go in."

You dance the dance of centuries
As I watch you glide anew.
Is this a dream,
Or do I see the real you?

Your face was like an angel's
That glow was hard to miss.
The ecstasy that was you
Was bathed in total bliss!

Your countanence was unearthly
As you reached to grab my hand.
"Please remember all I've done
There is a grander plan."

I knew at once of what he spoke
This angel by my side.
The sea just then answered back,
"You know he never died."

I turned to see your face once more.
That voice, so pure, so fair.
Just then a rush of wind kicked in
And splashed the sea salt air.

Instantly that vision of you
Was cast upon the sky.
"It's All Love" it echoed back,
And up you then did fly!

And so, he lives, on the shore,
Where his spirit roams care free.
Are you the ghost that haunts my dreams
So endlessly?

'Till I Draw My Last Breath

It is my fervent desire
I make this solemn vow.
Never will I forget,
To plead your case somehow.
To never skip a day
'Till I've said my peace.
I'll pray for your soul
'Till I've won for you release.

I'm under no illusions
I have to see this through.
But I'll try my best
Because it's all for you!

There's no one more deserving,
Though I know you weren't a saint.
That noble picture comes alive
With every stroke of paint.

Gold, the color of your heart.
Red was for the passion.
Blue because you were so true.
Black conveys your fashion.

The canvas is complete now.
I've filled in all I could.
I don't need to paint your picture
None of us really should.

I'll leave you in The Almighty's Hands,
Where we all must go in death.
But rest assured, Michael, this
promise I'll keep
'Till I draw my last breath!

Anticipating
No boundaries
So relating.
Smiles aplenty
Forever endearing
You really sent me
Beyond just hearing!
One with the dance
Fulfilling the dream
Taking a chance
What would it mean?
Pieces of you
Laid bare on the floor.
Given so freely
You always gave more.
Flashes of brilliance
Spilled out soul
Don't ever leave us
