A Beautiful Poem by Karen: 'I'll Carry You'

When all the world has done you wrong,

And you feel like you can't go on.

Remember well the pledge we've spoken

How bonds like ours are never broken.

There's nothing true friends can't do.

I'll be your strength, I'll carry you.

When tempests shake you in the storm

In all directions, in every form.
In prayers you call for sweet release,
For God to grant you mercy's peace.
I'll turn your skies from gray to blue.
I'll be your rock, I'll carry you.

When no one seems to really care.
You look for friends and no one's there.
And inner turmoils are growing strong,
When days are short and nights are long.
Lean on me, I'll see you through.
I'll be your shoulder, I'll carry you.

One poignant scene of fate occuring,
We come undone in heartbreak stirring.
As if an arrow pierced our soul
Left in the world a gaping hole.
In a flash time was changed anew,
You were whisked away and they carried you.

Now all that's left are traces lost.
We pick up the pieces and know the cost.
Of one so sweet, we hold you close,
I swear sometimes I see your ghost.
No more to need that dear one true,
For it is now in my heart that I carry you.♥
