On this summer breezy day of the 9th of May

I hear tunes of songs sung so freely of pretty little mollies

I ask myself who is this Molly? Molly? Molly? Molly?

After a while, I hear glee songs of Pretty, Pretty, Pretty.

Now I wonder, who is Molly, and who is pretty.

Then it hit me, these are women all so precious and so Fretty.

My, my, I say to myself – looking at the Cali Calendar

Behold its mother’s day in the month of May.

Wonder, wonder, wonder, wonder – I think it’s time for me to ponder

What to say to mothers on their month of May.

If I may, may I say, how beautiful you are on this curious glorious day.

If I may, may I also say, how completely hearty you make one feel.

Friends so dear that was not the end to my little lullaby to our mothers so dear

Starting grittily and slowly, waiting to explode into my little hear say

Now, let’s work it, Mothers so dear, honestly so, you are the light in our homes

You are specially so, for you have a special place in every heart.

You make us think, and think and think, and sometimes make us sing.

You make us do, and do, and do, even if we cannot do – its inspiration I must say it so.

Are you ready for more? Since it’s your day, I will shower, and shower and empower you with more

You’re my dear wild lady; you empower me, even if you don’t know it so

You’re my dear sour lady; you work me till the break of dawn and it’s no joke cause you love me so

You’re my dear perky lady; for you’re always up and about, doing what you do

You’re my dear serene lady; for when I am down, you’re there to bring me up

You’re my dear husky lady; for you try and try to make me right and right and right cause you love me so

Respectfully dear ladies of light, there is just so much to say of you

I can’t really say it or write it down completely so, you’re not just a person

You’re the right and left hand that hold’s me tight and never, never let’s go

You are simply – the mother in my one and only life

You are simply – the first lady in my life

You are simply – my one and only true love.
