A Poem By Joy C - 'On The Line'

On the line

I did it once before
But sadly it didn’t push
Instead it became a pull
A pull to hard to reach

Now I want to stop pretending
It just hurts too much
There is no sense in pretending anymore

I know that hard times are always there
And good things
And bad things come in due time
Yes, they do!

They are just right there
That’s right
Don’t pretend anymore
Cause hard times or good times don’t go away

It comes in due time
So, just believe and open your mind

So, put your heart on the line
And reach out and push for it

If you know what you want
If you want to make it right
And if you want to do it now
And get what you want
Then look in the mirror and look hard
Make it clearer and do the right thing

Reach out and try out
That’s all one can do
And ask for anyway
This time around

It may be
Or maybe not
But does it matter?

As long as you try
do your best
And face the truth
then all will be alright

don’t take any more shit
It’s not worth it
Never so
You are not worth it
This time around

So put it all on the table
and have a blast
