Word to Perp.

.

I'll just tell you straight up,
If you stab me I'll bleed.
Isn't that good enough,
Do you still feel this need?

If you strike me it hurts,
If you shoot me I'll die.
If you don't know this now,

I can't understand why!

I'm but bone,
And blood and tissue.
If what's within,
That's the real issue.

I'm a person.
A human..got a soul.
I have my family,
To keep healthy and whole.

I didn't start this,
I was just being.
It's you who's turned it,
Into a lesson with meaning.

So if you don't want schooled,
Don't want to hear it.
Just walk away.
So I don't have to fear it.

Put it in a box
Lock it away
Never let it see
The light of day

It's not allowed
It is a sin
You must compartmentalize
Those feelings within

Get a grip
Hold on tight
Put on your false face
'Cause you don't have the right

They don't want to hear it
You cause them woe
It is all about them
Didn't you know?

Your feelings
These farthings?
They're without value
So don't you be starting

Lock it away
Keep it inside
Just keep moving
Ride the ride

Keep the momentum
Make the dollar
Do what is expected
And please don't holler

It ain't about you
You are mistaken
It's all about them
So you best get fakin'

You want trust?
You want a voice?
Oh, please don't tell me
It isn't you choice!

Don't you know yet?
Haven't you learned?
Feelings are worthless
Meant to be burned

The machine needs oiled
Moneys got to be made
They don't want to hear it
Put it on fade

You're but a speck
A crumb on the floor
We give you a check
And then you want more?

You say you want friendship?
You want attention?
It's just not about you
Didn't I mention?

You better clean it up
Put on your face
You're not worth time
You can be replaced

You say you're a human
Meant to feel?
You're but inventory
You need to get real
