LIVE LIFE

Live Life

Take time to treasure

The pleasures of life

Savour each and every moment

To guard against trouble and strife

That might haunt you late at night

Recall past memories

And hold on tight

Retrace the smiles

From past happy events

The gleam in a lovers’ eye

That first tentative, coy, glance

Anticipating romance

The thrill of the scariest faire-ground ride

Your dinner dancing around inside

You raise your arms in the air

A brave but empty gesture

Because all the while…

The sound of your churning stomach

Pounds in your throat and ears

But it’s all right; no one can hear!

The calm magnificent splendour

Of the sun rising in the sky

The natural artwork of a beautiful rainbow

As rain and shine collide

The aluminous, dancing light of the moon

In a dark winking, twinkling sky

Through net-curtained windows

Blue moon glow, glides into the room

Effervescent, dancing shadows

Cut through the gloom

To live is to love

Life is a gift from above

Take time to treasure

The pleasure of life

You’ve been given

Don’t just exist

Start really living!
