  **Why We Are Here**

  While it’s important that Michael is honored and celebrated after
his death, it’s also important to understand that Michael’s
premature death was not a given. Only the most imperceptive would deny
that the slow drip of the anesthetic that killed him was, in reality,
just a formality.

  What killed Michael was the sustained trauma of being put through a
baseless, protracted trial that should never have reached the courts,
and the relentless vilification by mainstream media that decided to
simply disregard a verdict they found economically inconvenient.

  One day Michael’s children will be confronted with the painful
reality of the circumstances that drove their father to medicate
himself in order to sleep. They will ask the questions their family is
already dreading. They will ask how their father died and what led him
there. They will ask what their father did that made an entire country
not only turn its back on him, but effectively take away his rights as
a human being in the process.

  His children will deserve to know the answers to these questions.

  We believe those answers should amount to more than the distortion
and deliberately induced hysteria that saturated the networks,
newspapers and online sites for months during the trial and for the
last 16 years of Michael’s life. Martin Bashir, Tom Sneddon, Diane
Dimond, Nancy Grace and Maureen Orth currently enjoy careers and
lifestyles built on the destruction and degradation of the life of
Michael Jackson.

  This is unacceptable.

  **Our Aims**

  We at MJTruthNow are committed to the vindication of Michael’s
reputation by mainstream media.

  We are committed to holding accountable those responsible for the
inhumane treatment of Michael Jackson.

  **How You Can Help**

  Step 1:

  We’re asking all Michael Jackson advocates to post messages all
over the Internet ("seed") about our website.

  These messages are designed to increase membership and awareness of
our stated aims. Ultimately, we intend to grow our membership large
enough to effect real change in the way mainstream media behaves and
is regulated.

  We plan to effectively boycott those who were directly responsible
for the manipulated context in which Michael Jackson was forced to
live for over 15 years.

  Step 2:

  Internet petitions have not been shown to work, but boycotting a
show’s sponsors does.

pressure movement. Our primary objective is the boycotting of ABC’s
sponsors to compel Martin Bashir’s departure from that network.

  We’ll need everyone’s help for a boycott to be effective. If you
