If you don't mind, I'd like to share a brief story with you.......

I was showing parts of my MJ videos to my grandson last night - he shares a birthday with Michael and will be 6 years old on August 29.  My b'day is August 26 so we all share that well-known Virgo trait of perfectionism!!  My grandson was quite impressed and had LOTS of questions about all the "tricks" in Michael's concert performances, the video productions, and of course, his dance moves!!

He has been hearing me talk about MJ and who he was, but had not seen any of his work yet.  He said, "Michael Jackson has a great imagination - I wish I could see him in person!"  He loved the "Heal the World" performance (Dangerous tour), and was singing along by the end of it, totally in awe of Michael.  It was heart-warming to see and it felt good to share with him what a wonderful person Michael was and what a special gift he had!  Whenever I see him with children, my heart breaks, the tears come, and I wonder "how could anyone have ever thought this man could harm a child???!!!"

This whole experience has set me on a course of personal reflection and soul searching to discover a greater purpose for my life - I long to "stop existing and start living", sharing my gifts to help heal the world as Michael did!!  What an inspiration he has been!  I wish I could've known him personally, although in many ways I feel that I always have.  I have felt this incredible soul connection with him, as I know millions of people around the world have.  He was truly one of God's special angels and I feel so blessed to have lived in HIS lifetime, to experience his wonderful, unique talent and his GOODNESS.

I have been thinking about writing to the television networks to suggest they do a piece on his humanitarian efforts, which so many people don't even know about due to the "dirt hungry" media!  I think they owe it to him!!  And, I think if they heard from enough people about this very thing, they would think seriously about doing something like that to honor him.  A Primetime special or something along those lines with the entire focus being on the good works of Michael Jackson - the Michael Jackson many people didn't know.

I feel that it's a great idea in theory, but my only hesitation is that I honestly don't know if the mainstream media COULD do this kind of piece about him without interjecting some "dirt" just to make it interesting!  What do you think?  If I decide to go for it, I don't quite know how to go about it other than writing some letters myself - but how would I get the MJ fans involved?  Do you have any suggestions?  I've thought about making up a Letter of Petition that could be e-mailed to MJ fans in the U.S., and all they would have to do is click on a link to sign the Letter and send it to the networks that way, showing their support for the idea.

OR, maybe a more personal approach would work better?  I'm very techno-challenged so I could use some feedback on this.  Whoa, when I think about the enormity of this (for me anyway), I am once again reminded of the impact Michael has had on my heart - he is certainly challenging me to step outside my comfort zone!!!  Kinda scary!!!

I appreciate you taking time to listen!

Many blessings to you,

Charlene
