THIS IS IT

Angela’s Review

I had the privilege to see the movie twice.  The first time was Wednesday, October 28th.  I went with two friends Norma(70) and Daphne(53).

As we were waiting to go inside the theater, I saw a little boy(no older than 5) wearing a glittery glove.  I thought to myself, “Michael will be remembered for generations to come“.

When we entered the theater, I had my kleenex ready.  To my surprised, I didn’t cry.  Once the movie began I was so excited.  One of the first things I noticed was Michael wore  two or three shirts. The entire movie was excellent to me, so I can not single out a particular scene and say it’s my favorite.  I will tell you that Human Nature is one of my top five MJ’s songs. I also enjoyed Thriller. Michael was on a white stage with his choreographer dancing and the creatures were going under the stage. Michael had on a coat for that particular practice.

I admire how Michael could communicate with the band in a loving way( I work with several perfectionist.  When something doesn’t go their way they ramp and rave or rave and ramp).  I don’t believe I have seen someone be demanding but yet loving.  One of the musicians told Michael that “This is why we need you here for sound check”.  Michael could have been cruel, but he responded “let it sizzle/simmer”.  The musician and Michael ended up laughing over saying “booty call”.

I loved how Michael shared the stage.  I believe the dancers and musicians were on stage with Michael except for Human Nature, Billie Jean, Earth Song and Man in the Mirror.  I believe it was “Beat It” when Michael kept signaling for one of the dancers to step out front and dance.  Also the guitarist, Michael told her that this was her moment to shine.  Also the lady that performed in “The Way You Make Me Feel”.  What memories she must have??????  And the way he signaled for the young lady to come closer in “I Just Can’t Stop Loving You”.  Michael definitely wasn’t selfish.  I heard a minister state this concerning the movie “How wonderful the world would be if we gave everyone an opportunity to shine”.

L-O-V-E was the theme of this movie.  After the movie I went to dinner with my friends.  We laughed and discussed some parts.  We also stated how blessed we were to have live during the time of Michael Jackson’s genius.

Whatever the haters say about Michael, they can not say that Michael wasn’t blessed with talent.

On Saturday, October 31st, I went to see the movie with my best friend Sharon and her son Jeremy.

I noticed the crowd being of different ages and races. But our love for Michael brought us together that morning.  Sharon noticed how big Michael’s hands are. (I am sure that the ladies have heard of a certain saying about a man’s hands).  I tried to notice what brand of watch Michael was wearing but I couldn’t.  I asked Jeremy and he couldn’t tell either.

When the movie was over, some left but Sharon and I stayed and watch the credits roll. This woman stood in the middle of the theater balling. No one cries alone in my presence. I went over to the woman and hugged her and told her I understood.  We cried together for a minute or two. Sharon and I went for lunch, wouldn’t you know the woman and her friends came to the same restaurant. As we were leaving, she waved good-bye to me.  If I ever see her again, it will always be MJ brought us together as acquaintances.

As I was driving home, I began to wonder how many friendships and relationships has started because of a love for Michael.  I don’t know.  But I do know it was all done out of his L-O-V-E.
