Dear Katherine,
I live in Miami but grew up in Detroit. I have three daughters and the
youngest, Susannah, who is 17, loves to bake. She found out that Michael loved
sweet potato pie and she baked that on Michael's birthday in his honor and your
honor. She is so sweet she bakes gluten free for me because I am allergic to
wheat.
I feel so deeply for you and I want you to know I pray for you every day. I
love Michael and always have, and I played his music when I was an aerobics
instructor back in the 80s. My favorite songs back then were "Beat it" and
"Billie Jean" and now I love "Smooth Criminal" and "Earth Song" but "Human
Nature" is my all time favorite. I read about how Michael sometimes would borrow
your sequin shirts, I think that's really sweet and Michael inspires me to stand
out with studded belts and sequins. My daughter and I love to have fun shopping
for looks to emulate some aspects of his style and we even wear the same
size. Most important, I feel a very strong spiritual connection with him and he
lives in my heart and will forever!
I lost my parents to cancer when I was young so I, like Michael, always try to help people. I work as an occupational therapist which enables me to do that.
Michael inspires me so much! I am taking dance classes; hip hop, jazz, and
tap. I try to enjoy the beauty of nature every day. And you inspire me as a mom
to always be loving and patient.
My dream is to meet you, and go have breakfast and talk. I hope it happens!
I would love to come to California, or maybe you will visit Miami?
I am grateful for this opportunity to communicate with you. I have been
wishing for months to reach you but I didn't know how. I will continue to pray
for you always.
