Love Is... / A Poem by Karen

Love Is...

Love are the feet that hasten to fly
To another in need when he sees that he cries.
A tender embrace when spirits are low,
When the streets are mean and there's no where to go.
Love is a hunger that's never satisfied,
It can't be forced, it's never denied.
It's a mother's sweet kiss to her fallen child,
It's our "gift from God" so meek and so mild.
The one who stood up for what was right,
Who never wavered in the struggle and strife.
Who gave all he had and never looked back,
And who always knew he was on the right track.
Who possessed the heart of the best of us all,
To see such distress and answered the call.
Love is the message, it's up to us to see it through.
So remember his love in all that you do.
That way you'll keep alive all that he stood for,
And we'll walk in the shoes that he once wore.
