So alas a little privacy for the King of Pop, but at what price?

What did it take to FINALLY divert the media from their unusual and obsessive focus of Michael Jackson?

Shockingly enough, but true as it seems, it has taken the sadness of war.

As early as three weeks ago one could open a newspaper, or put on the TV and have plenty to read about or see on Michael. The media depleted themselves with a sort of ‘Michael Frenzy', putting their efforts into overdrive and shooting out one negative story after another. And this continued right up until just days before the war.

Was this REALLY a time to attack one another, and of all people - Michael Jackson? A humanitarian, known for his peace efforts? I have to believe that the media could have found more important things to obsess about, especially at a time like this…but strange as it seems their focus remained strong and deliberate.

One can only guess at their reasons for this irrational behavior. Perhaps they needed an outlet for their frustrations, choosing Michael as a form of release?

With the media now focused on the war in Iraq , the ‘Michael Jackson speculation and rumor factory' has been closed down for a while, and it's really too bad it had to take a war to give him a break.

But is Michael really getting a rest? I doubt it!

If I know Michael like I ‘think' I do, he has barely slept a wink in the past three weeks. The suffering children and the innocent people of this war are constantly on his mind. He's feeling pain like we all are, and there's no doubt in my mind, he'll be reaching out to help everyone he can. That's just what Michael does…

So the big question is what will happen when the war is over? Will the media go back to their old ways of attacking him or might this war have taught us all how to treat each other with a little more kindness? For now, I commend the media for doing a wonderful job in reporting the news of this war. Some journalist's even taking the risk of going out on to the battle field to keep us informed of what's going on. I thank them for their courage and hope that the experience will bring forth a new and better tomorrow in the way the media reports to the world.

As for Michael, I know wherever you are, you're as worried as we all are, and I commend you for efforts to make this a better world. We need more people to recognize your incredible contribution from both your heart as well as your pocket book. You are needed now more than ever, and don't let anyone stop you. Your impact of goodness has exceeded far beyond what most are even aware of. Knowing you're out there in this time of sadness is a comfort. We'll get through this together.

To all the victims of war, my prayers are with you.
