MJ Auction Exhibition in Santiago, Chile

Many items and clothing used by the late Michael Jackson, including the famous Motown 25 glove and one of the zombie costumes used in the Thriller video, are  currently on exhibit in Santiago, Chile on a tour that will include Ireland and Japan, before being auctioned in New York.

The exhibition, "Music Icons" is being held by Julien's Auctions and is on display from October 1-20, 2009 at the Fashion Museum in Santiago, Chile.

The collection includes items that Michael Jackson used in presentations and some personal memorabilia such as drawings he made during his childhood. Another highlight is a picture of Mickey Mouse dressed as Michael did in the video "Bad, in 1998.

The centerpiece of the exhibition is of course the famous glove Michael Jackson wore in his performance of Billie Jean at Motown 25 television special in 1983.

The exhibition also displays zombie costumes seen in the video for 'Thriller' and the black hat Michael Jackson wore in his presentation at the MTV Video Music Awards in 1995, and other objects from his Neverland Ranch.

The curator of the Museum of Fashion, Jessica Bureau, said this is the only time that objects are displayed in Latin America.

On November 21, 2009 the entire collection will be auctioned at the Hard Rock Café in Times Square in New York.
