Michael Jackson’s Legacy Lives On

Michael Jackson is the ultimate example of what it means to follow your heart.  He let his heart guide him in everything he did.

He knew what the purpose of his life was and he used the gifts

he was given to fulfill that purpose.

He knew he was meant to change the world and make it a better place.  He didn’t let the negativity of others stop him from doing what he knew he was meant to do.  He showed compassion to everyone even when they didn’t show it to him.

He loved everyone even when they didn’t love him. He gave endlessly to people all over the world. His humanitarian efforts are proof of that.

He also gave so much to his fans. When we listened to his music or watched him perform, we felt his magic. He made us feel loved. He made us feel cared for. He made us feel special. That

is the best gift anyone could ever give and receive.

Through his music we heard and saw how he wanted to change the world.  Black or White, Heal the world, Man in the Mirror, are just a few songs that give us a glimpse into what he was trying

to accomplish.

He wanted the world to come together in peace and worked to help us love and accept each other for who we are.

He started with himself. He knew that if you want to change the world you have to be the change you wish to see.  I think that is the greatest lesson he left us with.

We have to look within ourselves to see where we can make a difference in someone’s life.  It doesn’t have to be huge. Simply being kind to another person is a great place to start.

Ironically, in his death he is accomplishing what he wanted to do in his life.  Fans from all over the world, from all nationalities, all occupations and all ages have come together through various projects, such as the Michael Jackson Tribute Portrait. We have vowed to honor his legacy and continue where he left off.

We are all uniting through our love for him. We are treating each other with love.  We are becoming friends. We are supporting the charities he supported. We are looking for ways that we can make a difference.

I imagine he is looking down on his fans with tears of joy and warmth in his heart as he discovers that his spirit lives on through us. It is because of our love for him that we feel compelled to continue where he left off and make the world a better place.

Now that is magic!
