Announcing a New Partnership

It is with great pride and excitement that we announce a new partnership between The Michael Jackson Tribute Portrait and Wildlife Warriors. 

Wildlife Warriors was established in 2002, initially by Steve and Terri Irwin, as a way to include and involve caring people to support the protection of injured, threatened or endangered wildlife – from the individual animal to an entire species.

Michelle Gold, MJTP Director of Development, has been supporting Wildlife Warriors for years. She said “They are an excellent organization, one we will be proud to be affiliated with. Steve Irwin did amazing work, not only with animal conservation, but he put everything he had into buying land to preserve natural habitats, and his family continues this work in his honor.”

We hope that our dot members will find it in their heart to get involved with Wildlife Warriors in honor of Michael.

Wildlife Warriors Joins Michael’s Chorus of “Earth Song”

By Michelle Gold, Director of Development - Upon contacting Kirby Orr, Communications Director of Wildlife Warriors, I was honored to learn that they have accepted our invitation to align themselves with our mission to continue Michael’s legacy of exceptional humanitarian work. 

The partnership we have formed will honor not only Michael’s dream of a better world by teaching how to improve our environment and preserve wildlife and natural habitats. It also will honor the global mission of another brilliant man whose presence is dearly missed, Steve Irwin, The Crocodile Hunter.

Michael was the exceptional humanitarian who acted as the “mirror” of our actions, calling our attention to how society has taken so much from the earth, depleting many of its natural resources and disturbing the delicate balance of nature.

Portrait Progress

Have you seen the progress being made on Michael’s portrait? As it evolves (when more and more fans sign up for their free dots), this drawing will depict multiple images in Michael’s life, from his younger years to more recent times. How the different images of Michael will work together in the drawing is a secret that is being revealed daily, dot by dot. David Ilan, MJTP artist, said the drawing will take a few twists and turns along the way.

Changes to the MJTP Coming Soon

The Michael Jackson Tribute Portrait will be revealing some new and exciting changes in the coming weeks.  While we work on implementing those changes, we would like to hear your ideas about what you think would make this Tribute and website for Michael even better.  What changes would you like to see made?  Are there special features you would like to see added?  This is a tribute for the fans, by the fans, so your input is valuable to us. Help Fund The Tribute
We want to make sure every Michael Jackson fan in the world has an opportunity to get their dot in his Portrait, so please help us keep it going strong by making a donation or purchasing your favorite item from the store. Funds are needed specifically for ever-increasing hosting fees, software upgrades, programming support, as well as Tribute sponsored charitable events (like the one at the Magic Johnson Theater for 60 kids from the inner city), publicity, special promotions, general expenses and more. Dot Certificates Update
Dot Certificates are being assembled and we expect to ship them within the next two to three weeks. We received more participation than anticipated and we are waiting for our order for additional frames to arrive from the manufacturer. We appreciate your patience. The proceeds raised will be used to assure that Michael’s Tribute Portrait gets the one million dots it needs for completion. There is so much more we can accomplish, therefore it is important that the Tribute website is not only maintained, but grows to accommodate a thriving community of fans into the future and this fundraiser will help make it happen. Be part of the team working behind the scenes on The Michael Jackson Tribute Portrait.
