Announcing the Premiere Issue of the MJTP E-Magazine!

We are very excited to be announcing our new Premium Membership, soon to be launched on The Michael Jackson Tribute Portrait! This new level of membership will allow you access to exciting features, interactive perks and benefits not available to non-premium level members on the MJTP site. The Premium Membership will be available to all members for a small subscription fee of only $5 per month, which will help keep the Tribute running.
The main attraction and centerpiece of the Premium level is our very own monthly E-magazine, titled:

Dot to Dot: Keeping Michael’s Legacy Alive.

This magazine is 100% devoted, as is the MJTP, to continuing the legacy Michael left behind, and includes many sections and articles dedicated to that purpose.
Along with our Special Guests and featured contributing writers, every month Dot to Dot will include interviews, Q&A with some of our VIPs, special interest stories, invitation-only forums, polls and surveys, insider reports and MJTP breaking news. Our Christmas Special will definitely be an issue not to be missed!
We believe everyone should have the opportunity to see all that Dot to Dot has to offer, so we are giving you access to the Premiere Issue before the magazine goes to the premium level membership every month. From that point on, it will be available only to those who subscribe to MJTP’s Premium Membership. To read the entire announcement about the MJTP E-Magazine, Dot to Dot, click here.

It’s Time to Make a Change: Your Words Affect the World

By Valerie - Through verbal attacks, Michael Jackson was a victim of bullying for most of his life. His every move was judged, and he suffered horrendous attacks of his character.  But instead of attacking back with the same hate and anger and fear, he continued to live a life of love, speaking always with respect, calmly, and from a loving place within his heart. Michael had a deep love for humanity, and he loved and lived from his soul.

Bullying is a sure sign that there is no peace and love is lacking.  Bullying of all kinds is rampant. It’s gotten completely out of hand. People’s spirits suffer. So broken and distraught, some people have taken the lives of others, or even their own lives. Even people who are otherwise loving people (including those within the MJ community) have been known to attack others with their words, either in an effort to force their opinions on their opponent, or to belittle or demean someone with a differing viewpoint. It is completely unnecessary to bully in order to get what you want. Read More

“The World We Live In”

By Valmai Owens - If I were to be asked to describe my life over the last sixteen or so months, I would have to say it’s been like stepping into another world. Here in this world there is a central core of light filled with magic, wonderment, discovery and love, but it is also surrounded by shadows. They hover around the edges enticing the stray wanderer to step into the darkness. Some willingly enter and set up permanent residence. A few have taken a peek out of curiosity and lingered awhile, while others  having once seen what lie in wait for them, run away as quickly as they can. Negativity, greed, envy, spite, self-serving egos and malicious untruths are a major part of this world, and there can be no escape from that part of human nature that lives and flourishes within the shadows. This was Michael’s world for most of his life; it has now become ours. Read More

Reflections of Gratitude for Michael Jackson

By Linda Higgins - In the United States, November is the month of Thanksgiving. For one day we all typically eat a bountiful harvest, spend the day with loved ones and give thanks for everything we’re grateful for in our lives. Thanksgiving has long been the time of year that puts me in an attitude of gratitude as I reflect back on reasons why I feel blessed.

Thanksgiving fell on the 25th day of November this year, a day of the month which always causes fans to stop and reflect on our love for Michael since he passed away on the 25th day of June. As a result, this year my reflections of gratitude are directed squarely at Michael, and I feel compelled to share them with you. I hope in doing so I will encourage all of you to reflect upon your feelings of gratitude for him as well. Read More

The winner of the One Day with MJ Contest has been selected. We received so many wonderful submissions, each one of them a testament to your love for Michael.  It was a very difficult decision; each one was unique in its own way.  Some of them made us laugh, some of them made us cry, and all of them touched our hearts.  Members of our Tribute Team were assembled to conduct the judging. After narrowing down the submissions to twenty finalists, the judges determined the winner to be Emily!  She will receive a free download of The Beat of Our Hearts: A Musical Tribute to Michael, and a dot in the heart area of the portrait. Comments from Dot Members Around the World
“I signed up for this wonderful project a few months back. I feel so blessed to be part of something this special. I'm so grateful that Mr. Ilan is doing this for Michael's fans. Like many others, I'm still grieving for the loss of Michael on so many levels; not only for his gifts of song, dance, words, but for his caring, compassion, generosity, insight, awareness, light and purity of his soul. Michael has inspired me to create my legacy of love, compassion and giving for the rest of my life. I can't wait until the portrait is completed. I am proud to be one of Michael's dots.” Windy09 Dot # 10544
“I feel so lucky to be one of a million ‘dots’ to show MJ all the love in the world! That's a precious few, and I'm so fortunate to be here. To be a part of this tribute gives me a sense of happiness that I can do something for Michael that only one million people can do. This tribute will live on forever, just like the unconditional, deeply sincere love that I feel for Michael. It's a part of my healing process, even though the emptiness that I feel since he's left us will never go away…..I've met so many people on this site, who I feel blessed to now call my friends, that feel the same about Michael as I do. This tribute site is bringing people together from all over the world to celebrate the love of one man who gives us the courage and strength to continue to hope and dream, and to believe that together we can change the world. It's wonderful to have a place to laugh, cry and remember our King. I love MJ forever!” MJgirl24 Dot # 234894

In Michael’s Words
I thought I would end this issue with a little bit of love and a little bit of humor, courtesy of Michael. This is an excerpt from an interview he gave to Gold Magazine in 2002:

GOLD GIRL: Who are your favourite people?
MICHAEL JACKSON: I love people who have really contributed to the pleasure and happiness of the planet and mankind, people with light - from Walt Disney to Ghandi to Edison to Martin Luther King. These are people with light, people who really cared about children, bringing families together, and love. That's what I try to say in my music and in my songs. If you go to one of my concerts, my shows, you will see 200,000 people swaying, holding candles, saying, 'We want to heal the world,' and 'We love you.' I've seen it around the world from Russia to Germany to Poland to Africa to America. We're all the same. People cry in the same places in the show. They get angry in the same places in the show; they get the pathos in the same places.
GOLD GIRL: If you were invisible for a day in London, what would you do?
MICHAEL JACKSON: Oh boy. Who would I like to slap? Let me see {laughs}... I think I'd find one of the tabloid paparazzi and kick his A#$ moonwalk style. I'd really like to knock them off one of those little scooters they ride around on, I really would, knock the cameras right out of their hands. They're so annoying. I'd go for them first, yeah. They drive you nuts. You can't get away from them. It's terrible.
