'Michael's Glow'

The sky above tonight had a different color a different hue

But through it all was the glow of the moon so blue

Oh how the stars above did forever glimmer

The light of your promise could never get dimmer

Why did you have to leave us?

Why did you go?

Is it you that makes the moonlight glow?

Are the sparkling stars above in the skies

Reflections sent back to us from those soulful brown eyes

Was the blue moon a secret message from you?

Did your life have to be lived through a color a fight a struggle?

A simple walk across the street for you the guards would have to smuggle

Through all of it you were the brightest star shining

In our hearts you'll always be vining

We didn't mean to make it hard

The deck of cards life dealt you a trump card

You once even had a straight flush

Yes I remember you were always so shy

How are things going upstairs in the sky?

Are you dancing across the stars this morning?

I've been thinking of you because again it is snowing

Much like you soft, gentle and glowing

Kindly caressing us always knowing

Snowflakes dancing and spinning their way to the ground

Just like you, always spinning around

Blessing us with a blanket of soft fluffy snow

Under the heavens forever in your glow
