Mother's Love Is Forever
Mother's love is there from the start,
it comes from within the very heart.
It doesn't go away when you do something wrong
it doesn't end like the fading of a song.
It only gets strong every day
and is shown in the smallest way.
Mother's love is timeless and lasts for life
no matter the struggle or strife
it's a smile or a hug when we shed a tear
it's the touch that she gives to show she is near.
It's a nourishing soul who gives without thought
it's a loving hand to hold when we're distraught
it's a letter to tell us how much we're loved
it's a prayer to keep us safe to God above.
I know you're a loving nourturing soul
and you tought Michael to help in that role
He took from you all the things
that only a mother's love brings.
Love and acceptance and understanding
a soft place for a bumpy landing
welcoming arms to hold someone tight
when they cry from a fear in the night.
The love in his eyes sparkled so bright
the smile he gave was a beautiful sight
it made it seem that things were alright.
Thank you Mrs. Jackson for all that you've done
to bring into this world your Magical Son
He was truly a treasure and a Heavenly Gift
his song would be heard and make any weight lift
when he sang he made the world all OK
as only he could in his special way.
I will treasure him always
for the rest of my days,
I will remember him for all he has done
because after all he's the Chosen One.
