Music Festival Remembers MJ

4-07-09) Opening night at the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans was all about remembering Michael Jackson.

Performers at the Friday night show, which was held at the Louisiana Superdome, included Beyonce, John Legend, Ne-Yo and Salt-n-Pepa.

The festival saluted the King of Pop with a traditional New Orleans jazz funeral procession as brass band musicians played a mournful "A Closer Walk With Thee," on the trumpet, trombone and tuba. Then Michael's unmistakable voice wafted throughout the Superdome as a picture and video montage flashed of MJ as a young boy singing with his brothers.
