Paul's Comments On The WMA's 2006
After attending The World Music Awards, I would like to say that what I saw was not Michael's fault at all. He never said he was going too perform Thriller, so when Chris Brown came on and performed Thriller a lot of people were a bit disapointed, but they weren't booing Chris or Michael himself,,,,its just the press and the world music awards had said for days that Michael would be performing Thriller with Chris Brown and when he didnt do it, the press twisted it and tryed too make him look bad by saying he went back on his promise to perform.
Michael said himself on the red carpet when asked if he was performing,,,,the answer was no, and fans heard him say that,,,,so did the news people.
In fact if you watch this news clip you will see for yourself what he said. (at the very end). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TQCaGi6Us4A
Not only that, but when michael came inside Earls court and walked past the barrier where I stood, I heard other fans shout too him, "Michael are you performing?" and he shook his head as if too say No he wasnt.
So all this crap in the papers about him was just an excuse too take a pop at him, because he was getting all the attention and no one else was. All of Earls court went nuts all night long shouting "Michael" and everyone there, (including non MJ fans) came too see one person and that was our Michael.
In fact, apart from seeing MJ in concert, I've never heard so many people scream as loud as they did for him. He totaly stole the whole show.
I wasnt really expecting him to perform anyways, I was there to see him get his award.
My friends felt the same way and they really enjoyed seeing him too.
