Sandcastle Competition Winner Is A MJ Tribute

At the 29th annual U.S. Open Sandcastle Competition at Imperial Beach (south of San Diego, USA), the group Archisand received the first prize in the ten-person team Masters A Division with its tribute to Michael Jackson. They won $5,000.

Professional sand sculptors, amateur artists and thousands of spectators attended the event last weekend. The U.S. Open Sandcastle Competition is a nonprofit event with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the Boys & Girls Club of Imperial Beach.
