Dear Mrs. Jackson,
My condolences to you and your family. Your son was an inspiration to so many people. Currently, I am a junior in high school here in Massachusetts. Like many young people, I became influenced and inspired by Michael during this summer.
I had always heard about him over the years but never knew the extent of his talent. I kept hearing his name in media, with these false, fabricated stories. So, I asked my family and friends about Michael and started watching videos of him. I never realized how awesome he really was in his life.
The bad part about being a fan, is sometimes you become a fan after the person has left us. I wish I could have been a fan while he was alive, because us fans old and new are so dedicated and always there for him. I know that the younger generation will preserve his legacy.
This summer and now I have seen Michael's influence everywhere. People of all shapes and sizes love and adore him. Just in my life I have seen it. In my aunt that has been a fan since the Jackson 5, who called my house crying during the Memorial, to my school doing 'Smooth Criminal' and 'Beat It' at the Thanksgiving prep rally, to my 75 year old aunt going to see This is It and loving every minute of it.
These are just a few. Michael has created so many wonderful memories for me and brings together so many people. For example, one night my mom and I were fighting continuously, an hour later we were dancing late into the night with a MJ CD. I never do that with her.
He was such a kind, gentle, smart and generous person. I thank you for giving Michael to the world and letting him spread his gift with us. I know he will never be forgotten or replaced. He didn't just sing, dance, or performed. He gave his all and gave that passion to others. His love is still in the entertainment, he left us.
All the fans are praying for you and your family. Thank you again for Michael Jackson.
He was loved so enormously no only by his fans but by you and your family. He is now up in heaven probably dancing with the greats.
