Spike Lee Visits 2300 Jackson Street
Filmmaker Spike Lee has visited Michael Jackson's childhood home in Indiana as he worked on a documentary about the pop star.
Lee and a film crew shot footage Wednesday at the small home in Gary where the Jackson family lived until until moving to California.
Lee told the Post-Tribune of Merrillville that his short film on Jackson's life will likely be released in mid-October. That would be just before the Oct. 28 release of the movie built around rehearsal footage for the late singer's planned London concerts.
The filming wasn't announced and few spectators were at the house.
David Fossett, a second cousin to Jackson who oversees the home, walked around during the filming. Mayor Rudy Clay also stopped by to talk with Lee.
