Statement Regarding Fan Attendance to the Hearings Scheduled for August

MJJForum wishes a wonderful and positive experience for all the fans who are attending the hearings next week.  It will be exciting to be among so many who are there to show Michael love and support.  However, to make sure that your love is given in the way most helpful to Michael, we would like to remind you of the following:

First, Judge Melville has stated at prior hearings that exhibiting Michael Jackson paraphernalia inside the courtroom is inappropriate.  The court has requested that no hats, T-shirts, buttons, or other symbols that show bias toward the defense be visible in court. Please show respect by adhering to this request.

Most importantly, however, Michael and his family will be there for an extremely important reason.  Please refrain from doing anything that will deter him from rising to this occasion with dignity and respect.  Negative contact with representatives of the media, supporters of the alleged victim, officials of the court, or anyone else does not help Michael in his fight against these accusations.  The experience of being in an energetic crowd and seeing Michael and his family will be exciting for everyone, but it can also distract Michael and the members of his defense team.  Please use the powerful energy that comes from this experience in a positive way, one that will make Michael happy to see you there.

Your demeanor inside and outside of the courtroom is very important.  To the media, you are an extension of Michael.  They will use your behavior to make statements about him and will generalize what you say and do to indicate that all Michael Jackson fans are alike.  Please be a good example for us all.
