Final Bow

A New Year is going to start

Even though the one we all loved

From this earth he did depart

He shared so much with us, his song, his dance, his art

He left us suspended in time and space

The tears are still streaming down my face

A loss of someone only human

Why can't we let you go?

Will we ever know?

Are we that selfish?

Wanting to keep you ever near

Final concerts finished by now

Thanking us all and in your soft and gentle voice

Saying "I love you more" then taking the final bow

To go live in your Neverland, Happily Ever After

After the last and final show, in your home filled with joy and laughter

To be where you always wanted to go

Teaching and watching your children grow

A place where you found the peace and love you gave to us so freely

We never seemed to get enough of you, really

Your final show sold out in minutes

You told us all "This Is It" I'm finished

Did we really believe you?

"This Is It" I'm finished

In our minds the news and pain of you passing

Will never quite diminish

We'll always wait for another show

Another "This Isn't It"

Never a final bow

Love you forever more Michael where ever you are

I'll always wait for the next show never the Final Bow
