'When The Night Falls'

Slowly the dawn turns to dusk
As I look to the stars.
I say a silent prayer
And Wonder where you are.

Your favorite times of day
When the magic did astound.
You marvel at the majesty
At every sight and sound.

I see your face so clearly,
I forget that you're not here.
I miss you oh so dearly,
I pull you ever near.

Did you cry yourself to sleep
Over life's most simple things?
These things that love said must be done
You carried on angel's wings.

when all this world seemed much too cruel,
You were always there with a smile.
With your gift of compassionate help
And the innocence of a child.

So, tell me then, why I'm so sad
When I hear your music play?
The pain of your loss is all too fresh
Since they stole your heart away.

Yes, I know it's time to let you go,
Where you walk those Hallowed Halls.
But, I swear, it gets so lonely now
Michael, when the night falls.
