Why Can't I Be?
Why Can't I Be
I am who I am
I am not forsaken
Nor do I forsake
You cannot judge me
For you do not know me
You know not my composure
You know not my crimes
You know not my agonies
You know not my joys
For they all inside of me
You see only the peek
But the whole does my eyes seek
You think you know justice
But all I see are injustice
You can’t judge me
There is no such thing
I live for the wisdom
I live for the passion
I live for the liberty; the liberty of being me
I live not to victimize
Nor to be the victim
I live for sure for a piece of peace
For all that I am after is a life full of laughter
So, why can’t I be?
I am who I am
When you “say I do”
I say “I do not”
Who are you to say so?
Or who are you to do so?
You who does not care
You who can’t phantom
There are phantoms you cannot see
They are there and here and everywhere
There are frames on every wall
They are there and here and everywhere
There are mysteries
They have been there for centuries
You cannot phantom nor can I
This, although, is what I know
I am who I am
So, why can’t I be?
