I do not try to make you cry

I only wish to make you smile

How can there ever be too much love

To hold within your heart

I see the rush you feel, it made you blush

For all of this is too surreal

I always went easy on you, or so I did think

You were here one moment and gone in a blink

The dream new to you, never crossed my mind

Sorry my Michael, I must have been blind

The strength you claim to need

Was there until dissolved by every ones greed

You could never come closer, never to trust

What I wore on the surface was only the crust

Embraced within your tender hold

I feel a bit more loved, more bold

Your wore your pain so well hidden behind all those smiles

Every step you took must have seemed like a hundred miles

Understand you, how could I, you were always so timid and shy

But I was always there right beside you in every toil and strife

I walked with you all those miles all through your life

Your heart being tender this evil world could not render

The soul of an angel always young

Never tainted by hate since the time you begun

The decision was made on the day of your conception

The love you poured forth was beyond perfection

The reason I chose you exceeded your perception

You were my choice no exception

Weakness you say, I do not believe!

The man who wore his heart on his sleeve

You've always had my hand all along

That is what gave you strength and made you strong

You need rest I can hardly believe that

I'll leave you sleeping under your hat

Breathe easy find composure, I hope soon you find some closure

For all the love you give to those in need

Replenish even to exceed

You, be quiet! I hardly doubt I figured you would scream and shout

Looking beyond our gaze at each other

You'll be forever in the arms and soul of your mother

That place inside of us where love is what matters

Has finally mended from all that was shattered

I'll go easy on you with this being so new

The strength that you seek when you find it you'll keep

The love you chased all your life has finally caught up with you and will be rife
